"The bungie on back for strap around the body IS MONEY! I have used a ton of rigs and never seen that done before and that was AWESOME. I could walk casually and be comfortable and stay tight. And, when I'm running and breathing heavy I can still breathe. That was the problem with other systems which are straight nylon straps that jack you up. This is the greatest thing ever. It’s so awesome!
The pouches aren’t "mollyed" on: they're integral to this system. This makes it less modular but you’re not sacrificing equipment coming out from centerline of the body. When pockets aren’t tight to the body and just mollyed on, you get tired quicker and its flops around more. This is NOT a problem with the SAW rig.
The SAW rig mag pockets are awesome. In general, to be able to switch the types of magazines is awesome. With our standard issued military mag pouches, you can’t do that. Numerous times, that tie down retention tab has been used to get items I put in deep in the pocket. Somehow I got a bunch of vines and crap in the pocket in the jungle and that tab easily helped me clean out the pocket without taking all the mags out.” - 18 Charlie Current Special forces Engineering sergeant
We worked with SAW from "Survival Applications Weapon Systems" to create this rig. Saw is a former Ranger, Green Beret and current survival instructor, he's served all over the world in all types of environments. We used his REAL world experience to create a product that is rock solid, and very USEful in many ways.
The "clipazine" pockets will carry most common types, double or single stack. The side pockets will fit a canteen with the cup, medical gear, radios etc. There is a tie down in every pocket so you can secure your gear. We gave plenty of length to the straps to be able to fit from XXL to SM people. The X harness allows the greatest adjustment, and allows you to wear it high or low, front or backwards. This is not just another chest rig, this is the SAW RIG!
